Im highly doubting it but I dont want to waste money so...

I have 2x512 sticks of 184 pin DDR SDRAM (200MHz)
My motherboard (in the manual) says it supports 400,333,and 266MHz Memmory. Now will my old memory work, or did I guess right and I need new memory?

if the old memory is SDR memory and motherbourd support SDR slot the you can use it ....

if the old DDR memory and the mot.........ya you can use it .

you said you have 2*512 sticks and its DDR if you set the old ram the computer will run on the lower MHz .
for example :

if you computer set in 400MHz and you set ram of 266MHz the all rams in your computer will run on 266MHz.

so that your choice .

if your actual motherboard supports DDR you can use it, but your computer will become unstable that and a landmined field are the same. I don't recommend you to do it. You better buy new DDR's. They are not that expensive. You can go to zipzoomfly.com to buy if you are is US. Bye if you want to know anything else please klastor00@yahoo.com

i wouldnt take a chance and risk trying to use your old RAM, because you could shot circuit your mother board (and your old RAM) and then not only would you need more RAM, but a new motherboard aswell!

I wouldnt chance it!

Rather get more RAM (its much cheaper nowadays than it used to be, and you can get GIGS of RAM now!)

My suggestion would to go with a gig or two of RAM, that way, its highly unlikely ou will need to upgrade it any time soon!

hope that helps ya out

It will work. but you won't yield the best performance out of your motherboard. but make sure that single slot of your motherboard supports 512MB of memory

you can use it but all of your ram will only run as fast as the slowest component. So if you have 400MHz ram and 200MHz ram, all of the ram will run at 200MHz
