I heard that some vitamins counteract synthroid medication if taken too soon. It is a generic brand but I"m sure I am still able to take a vitamin.

I've never heard this, but just in case you should take them at different times of day. And next time you talk to your Dr. ask him/her. I've been told that Synthroid should be taken on an empty stomach, so that means that you shouldn't eat anything two hours before or after you take it, so I would think that taking other medicines or vitamins shouldn't be within 2 hours of your dose of Synthroid.

I take this medication and I take my vitamins along with it. My thyroid tests always come back fine. I wouldn't worry about it. Godloveya.
