Ohio State fans don't seem to like me very much, but that's OK because I don't care for them either. The Buckeyes are a pretty good football team but certainly not deserving to be top-ranked. The don't even lead THEIR own conference in total offense. Troy Smith is mediocre at best, not in my opinion a front-runner for the Heisman trophy. The statistics do not lie. Look at them for youself on yahoo sports. LSU is leading the SEC in both offense and defense but got shafted by the officials. The NCAA does not want Ohio State to have to play a powerhouse like LSU. If the officials don't screw it all up, Ohio State will go down Saturday. Does anybody agree?

To all the doubters, Ohio State has played an SEC 8 times in its history. They lost every time. Check it out for yourself. The years are: 2001,2000,1996,1995,1993,1992,1989, and 1977.

Ohio State is definitely very over-rated. I agree, the Ohio State Buckeyes are a good college football team, but they are other terrific college football teams that are just as good as the Ohio State Buckeyes.

lol LSU, the probowl factory huh, the powerhouse, the only national championship they ever had was because USC got screwed over, but still is recogized as the national champion from that year. Lol LSU whoooo, oh no. I wish i could play there tough schedule every year. Ohio state has two year contracts with Texas (defending champs, owned by OSU at Texas this year by the way) Then Miami, then USC, then Notre Dame, Then Tennessee, then Florida State, Then Florida, and thats just there two year contracts so far. But yeah, we dont want to play powerhouses like LSU. Ohio State is so scared to do that. And Troy Smith mediocre, name one QB as good as him ever at LSU. Ohio State had more players drafted and playing in the NFL last year (11) than LSU has in 3 years combined. Year before they had 9, year before that 11 again. 4 first rounders last year, they beat Notre Dame last year like they stole something, beats Michigan every year. Won the National Title in 2002, all by themselves, beating the #1 team, not a team that didnt even win their conference in Oklahoma. I am sorry you are bitter about being an LSU fan, but dont take it out on a real major program like Ohio State. If LSU had Ted Ginn, Troy Smith, Tony Pittman, Anythony Gonzalez, Chris Wells and others, then yeah, you could talk, but they dont. And OSU doesnt have the top offense in the big ten, more likely because they have played Texas and Penn State this season, and Michigan State hasnt played anything that resembles a defense all year, and yes that is Notre Dame i am talking about. Refs wont have a thing to do with it Saturday, if Ohio State can go into Austin Texas and embarass the longhorns in a night game of 1 vs 2, then i dont think Drew Tate will matter too much. You are jealous of a powerhouse, not a fan of one, sorry i can speak opinions, i speak facts, deal with it.

As an Ohio State fan myself I may be a little biased.
I agree that Troy Smith should not be up for the heisman yet.
He does have big play capability, but he played better last year than he has this year so far.
This year's teams seem to be very well matched. There is no clear team that has stepped up like the USC's of past or the Miami's. The reason the Buckeye's are #1 is because of how they ended their season last year. Yes, they lost to Texas and Penn State, but they rebounded and beat Notre Dame, convincingly, in their bowl game. LSU, is a good team but I'm not sure if they are deserving of a #1 ranking either. Like I said, this year is one that any team could win the national championship.

They will beat Iowa Saturday, but my concern is the Michigan game.

The Buckeyes are not overrated. But of course, me being an Ohio State fan, its a biased opinion. But still, not many teams out there could have beat Texas the way we did. Not may teams could have beat a team like Penn State the way we did. I agree we struggled a little against Penn State, but we tightened up in the second half and crushed them. I disagree that Ohio State is overrated. but i do think that if you could have multiple #1 teams, then Auburn or LSU could be tied for #1 with Ohio State.

You are delusional. Nobody and I repeat nobody in the SEC could hang with Ohio State. Hell if anyone of them were to be placed in The Big Ten, they would be lucky to ever win the conference title. Big Ten teams would have a lot more National Titles if they didn't constantly upset each other, especially Ohio State and Michigan. Time and time again they have spoiled it for each other, that is what you call competition. Why do you think Notre Dame turned down an invitation to The Big Ten, nearly impossible to escape without a loss.

Ohio State has covered the spread in all games, so far, this year. If they make it out of The Big Ten undefeated, they will hand someone a serious *ss-whippin' in the big game!

Hey, I'm an Auburn fan and you didn't get hosed by the referees. That was an uncatchable ball, and the SEC confirms it. Even then, given how Auburn denied you the end zone throughout the game, what makes you think you would have made it in? Your kvetching only serves to discredit your very good program.

All that being said, Ohio State is very good. Personally, I think Auburn matches up very well in a potential BCS Championship game. Auburn's defense is better, but Ohio State's offense is better.

Ohio State is not over rated. They whooped up on Texas and are only allowing 8 points a game. However, they're just starting the "real" season by playing Big Ten teams. SEC teams are afraid the schedule Big Ten games because their little southern bodies would get beaten to a pulp by huge Big Ten players.

LSU. Come on. Give me a break. They will probably loose another game this season. OSU is clearly the best in the nation. Notre Dame seemed to be the only team that would challenge them, and look what has happend to them. USC, to many wholes to fill. Texas, well we know what happend to them. SEC teams do not know what its like to play hard smash mouth football. Maybe Troy Smith's numbers would look more impressive if we didn't have Antonio Pittman. The guy is only the most overlooked back in the country. Look for him to be in the heisman race as the season goes on. That would mean OSU would have 3 heisman contenders Smith, Ginn, Pittman. How can a team with three heisman contenders and a defense that is 7th in the nation scoring be overrated? Think before you write LSU fan.

Ok, I HATE Ohio State, but they have not lost. How many teams this year seem as though they would beat them (not many)? We can wait and see once they have played Iowa and Michigan. Then we can decide if they are all they are cracked up to be.

Who would ever believe a word that the lobbyist Phil Gramm has to say? While in congress, Gramm was one of five co-sponsors of the Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000. One provision of the bill was referred to as the "Enron loophole" because the House Agriculture Committee drafted it and it was later applied to Enron. Some critics blame the provision for permitting the Enron scandal to occur. At the time, Gramm's wife was previously on Enron's board of directors. You think all this is just coincidence? Hello, they stole millions from their own employees, little old grandmothers, people who believed their lies and Phil Gramm protected the thieves! He has his own agenda he is trying to promote and he is lying, thieving, scum.
