An uncontrolled flow of both external physical desires such as affections,attention,lust,possessiveness;along with internal feelings of love and the rest of this parade of of foolish emotions that end up breaking your will and stride.Maybe a little bitter-that's what triangles do to a guy.Word of caution there's a very fine line between it's innocence and it's psychoticness-being a victim of such craziness,then some.

Infatuation usually describes an attraction to another, not based on love and friendship, but on lust or excitement from what is new and different. Most new romantic relationships begin this way--the test is to see if your relationship can change to be based on love/friendship once the infatuation wears off.

Limerence is the other name of 'Infatuation' which begins as a barely perceptible feeling of increased interest in a particular person, known as the limerent object, but one which, if nurtured by appropriate conditions, can grow to enormous intensity. In most cases it also declines, eventually to zero or to a low level.
At this low level, limerence is either transformed through reciprocation or it is transferred to another person who then becomes the new limerent object. It means you make something, someone, or some idea and idol. You're obsessed sort of. It's kind of a step under obsesstion but i think they can be used interchangeably
