Why can't i erase on aol messenger?

This has been going on for a week now. When I go to erase something, the line turns black instead of blue and I have to send it-I can't get rid of it.

Just recently AOL stopped charging its users. Primarily because aol just recently turned "police/government monitered" function systems. Stay away from aol
