start with your fomal intoduction which would include just your name school from which passed your 10th 12th .........
then staright away start telling about your qualities ..........remember only good ones.......nothing bad until asked for...and if asked tell your shortcomings in a way that shows you have full control over them......
don't forget to talk about your hobies .........they are a must.......

For such questions, always start with name, you could tell about your educational background, your interests, sports, hobbies, strength and weakness, never give a weakness which you could not be overcomed by your strenght....
you could also tell about your friends and family...
describe yourself in a positive way, which could entertain the interviewer... if you could make it interactive you have better chances.

Yeah this is a general question .
1)If you are a experience person then start with your job profile and designation that were assinged to you.
2)Important thing is you have to stress upon your roles and major responsibilities and your career awards and rewards.
3)your educational back ground.(your graduation and post graduation)
4)your family background(your father,mother).
Thats it.Try it once.

Tell him that you don't like to be "Apne muh miyaan miththoo banna" or "Being high head about himself". Ask him to "Teil dekho or teil ki dhaar dekho". Give some past example about you proving you as "Lambi race kaa ghora".
