Nope, it would cause nothing but problems especially already knowing that she lives like a slob and I don't.

may be she hates cleaning and cooking but she has other qualities too that makes her my friend. As for cooking and cleaning, I'm going to do that anyway even if I'm all alone. It's a blessing to have a friend with you, and it she is really a friend...she won't make my new house messy.

If she's your best friend, you should be able to tell her that she can only stay with you if she stops being a slob :OP

Living with a friend goes one way or the other ....... friends for life or one of you ends up dead with a toaster jammed down your throat!

it will only end in tears, you will fall out over the mess, try and set some rules down before she moves in or draw up a rota together for you both to do things.

bad idea, i used to share a house with my friend when we were 18/19 she drove me crazy, i was constantly picking up after her, cleaning, hoovering, doing her dishes just because i couldnt stand things being that messy, in the end i had to move out, i just couldnt deal with it any more

Thats what friends are for, as long as it is a short stay otherwise you have to set groung rules and warn her tidyness is paramount to you and if she is not it will not work.

If she's my best friend then yes I would. But be very clear with her that she has to pull her weight or out she goes.

If she's your friend, and needs somewhere to go, then it would be the right thing to do to let her stay.
However, you should stipulate that she needs to do her bit, as you can't be expected to do everything yourself.
