Write the names of the Trojans down and download a specific Trojan remover from Symantec at: http://www.symantec.com/home_homeoffice/security_response/removaltools.jsp

Some legitimate software can be interpretted as a Trojan (I have something called VNC Viewer on my PC, Norton AV goes mental over it).

The issue with your broadband could be down to not having enough filters on your phone points (you know those little white boxes you get with your broadband modem), basically you need one on EVERY working phone point in the house (working phone point means it has a phone attached to it), or everytime someone rings you while you are online you'll be disconnected.

AVG is a free software, although its a good one,(im using it too)it cannot delete or heal all your trojans, viruses etc unless you update it regularly.even when updated,it doesn't mean it can "kill" all your trojans, viruses etc.the point is..viruses and other malicious codes are written every day, virus hunters(A.K.A. the companies responsible for anti virus softwares) can't keep up with the new threats,im assuming your system is relatively old(1+year old).the only thing that can remedy your problem is to re install everything ie:format.i have the same problem like yours couple of years back.,my broadband connection is also goes off several times,im using a modified version of Wi-Fi called Canopy by Motorola.sometimes your ISP's experience technical difficulties just like everyone else.or maybe your equiptment is not calibrated, contact your service provider.your problems with your broadband connection turning off at times don't have a connection with your trojan problem.hope this help in your problem.by the way, my system is Pentium D 950 3.4ghz,2gig ram(800mhz),twin nvidia 7800 graphics(SLI)two 200 gb 7200rpm hard drive in RAID 0.

I guess this will help.
Remove the trojans from quarantine
Use your software to find where the trojans are.
Lets say 1 trojan of yours is in C:\Windows\
Go to that trojan and try deleting it your self.
This does not happen with most trojans because they run as a process every time you boot your system.

so first press Ctrl+Alt+Del and go to Taskmanager.

Click on the processes tab and locate your trojan's process(99% your trojans filename).

Right click on it and press "End Process" the process will end and you can delete the trojan yourself. If this is not possible,Download the free full version of Norton SuperUtilities pack 2006 at the following web address:

Have you tried opening xp in safe mode then deleting the quarantined files?

Alternatively, if Norton can do it, you can download the full registered Norton free from Google.

Or if you have a backup re-instal XP with the option to replace the existing XP installation, that will let you do a quick format which will remove everything in the computer then you build up step by step from your setup files.

i'd first uninstall Norton if you're employing AVG because it really is conceivable for virus scanners to locate one yet another inflicting viruses to reveal the position there is none. AVG can no longer heal records that are saved in a compressed format in spite of the indisputable fact that in case you could not heal them you could get rid of them into the virus fault. Then if each element is only nice then empty the virus fault. to get rid of a report into the virus fault perfect click on the report list and click get rid of. (Its been a lengthy time period for the reason that I had to purpose it truly is i'd nicely be incorrect about the thanks to get rid of a report yet its worry-free to do)

Try downloading a trojan scanner. If you do a search for freeware trojan scanner, you should be able to find a website offering software to rid you of the trojans. Plus there will be tips on how to prevent further trojans. www.snapfiles.com is a good site for free software. Give it try, it will probably have trojan scanners.

if avg will not heal the 4 trojans that u have..there is a few things u can do....first off u have to expose all hidden files and folders...start..control panel..folder option..view..show hidden files and folders......then go to start...accessories..system tools...disc clean up......then go here...http://www.superantispyware.com/superantispywarefreevspro.html
download and install this....make sure u update it..then run a full system scan...after it has finished scanning...remove everything it finds....then reboot the computer.....now go back to folder options..view...reset to default..( close all hidden files and folders)
u should now be clean......if for some reason u are still infected.....u could instan message me and i will walk u through it

Hi there, trouble shooting can be very tedious. I suggest that you perform a low level formating. Reinstall windows, get avast free edition at www.avast.com, install avast immediately, update avast, update windows. After updating windows sp2 and avast then you are safe to go online. Before formating, do you have any friend who can download avast to their pc for you? It will be good if you can find someone who can help you download avast.

leave the items in quarantine. They can't hurt anything there and your computer can still use the files. As for the broadband problem, you might consider replacing the Ethernet card.
