In a nation where men routinely rape men and where violence against women in epidemic it seems fitting that Christian Zealots would fight against two people wanting to commit to a loving bond beyond that I would say it is a fair bet that Zuma has bent more than a few teenage boys over and yelled "YAHMOOKA.'

Peace....

I do not think my fellow South Africans realise what a danger this HOMOPHOBE poses . He has HUGE support at grassroots level and has a very big chnace to become the next President.

ANYONE that is Gay or has an ounce of common sense in them should ACTIVELY OPPOSE this man. JACOB ZUMA is the South African version of Robert Mugabe. If he becomes our next leadre, we will lose all the rights that we have as gays, AND NOT ONLY the right to marriage.

No. He should not promote the views of any religion at all.
State law should be kept separate, and a sense of fairness would suggest to allow a legally binding and acknowledged contract for every couple no matter what persuasion.

He's clever, though, nearly all religious groups will support him on that one, and he needs all the support he can get to fulfill his ambitions.

I hope they won't really elect him president, as some people think.

Besides the obvious answer, isn't this the country that formally declared that HIV and therefore AIDS didn't exist a few years ago and refused to provide life saving medicines to its own people? That led to a massive health crisis that is still going on in a majority heterosexual christian country.

Something about an ostrich and a hole comes to mind.

I am sure if you just followed what all he said you will know that you can´t believe a word! He has actually proved that he does just the opposite of what he advocates. As for him being the next President? Dream on.

Zuma's a populist, and when he realised that his comments were unpopular he apologised.
