if the marshmallow is badly burned and you cannot melt it with a hairdryer i suggest you scrape off as much as you can and then use a weak solution of sard spray and water to get the rest off .test the carpet in an unseen spot with the sard to see if it is going to damage the colour of your carpet

I'd try peanut butter, it has an enzyme that works great on bubble gum so I think it may work on marshmallow. I use it all the time as it washes out relatively easily.

i have had this happen to me i used an ice cube to harden the marshmallow and then picked off the big remains , after i took a small amount of dish liquid and blotted it on the spot and patted dry. dont rub hard or it will just spread.vaccuum when finished.

I am with the other respondants ideas....well....except for crazy lady with the hairdryer idea. First, I would try putting ice on it to freeze it...it may break off in pieces, but if not, try the Peanut butter as it does wonders with gum. I don't know if a cleaner will work, because you really have to break it down first.

Amendement....I didn't get my ice idea from the person above with the dry ice. I don't that everyone has dry ice at their fingertips.....I was speaking of actual ice from your freezer.

Scrape off what you can then pour a little bit of peroxide on it and gently work out with a washcloth, peroxide will not damage your carpet in the process.

I'd use woolite carpet cleaner. It got melted balloon off my carpets. Just spray it on, let it foam up, scrub it, and vaccume it up. Something else I love is the spot bot. it works wonders.

Get some "GOOF OFF" from the hardware store. It will take ANYTHING of out etc... Gum, tar, paint, marker, u name it. The best part is that u don't have to work hard. Just spray it on and wipe it off. Killer stuff.

Let me guess, Smores?
