I just watched it recently, been kind of reluctant to see it, but really enjoyed it....made me cry!
What is your opinion?

It didn't get to me as much as I thought it would, perhaps because I didn't find the Heath Ledger character very sympathetic (Jake Gyllenhaal on the other hand...) Perhaps because we're not living in that world any more? Although I suppose it's still very hard for gay people in remote areas where men are supposed to be macho. I do think anti-gay prejudice is going to die out (literally as the older generations pass away) in my lifetime (I'm a gen Xer).

Don`t see what all the fuss was about - It is basically a love story but has a different twist. It was a bit slow but I enjoyed it.
PS. I`m not Gay

i really didn't like it. It was so tragic and no one ended up happy. I guess this was probably much closer to life though. I wasn't dissappointed in the actors though. They all took a chance on a movie that they could have ruined their careers making. The story line was positively terrible though. If it would have been streight people it would have been boring.

It was okay. I didn't mind the subject matter and thought that was handled well. Problem is, the whole thing didn't live up to the hype surrounding it.

It made me feel sad and depressed. Scenery was beautiful, and the acting superb.
