Depends on how you define Punk...if you mean real Punk (i.e. anything recorded before 1982), then Punk...if you mean what passes for punk today, then techno.

Haha. I guess I am going to be the only one that says techno. I actually prefer trance over anything though, if you want to be more specific.

Punk is over ratted. If you are whinny, on MTV and wear tight enough pants, congrats you are a punk band.

I listened to punk for years and years and it's the same stuff. I just can't listen to the whinny-ness anymore.

If you ask me it's all about trance, death metal and heavy metal. (I know weird combo!)

well, firstly, im old.. i started when the likes of pink floyd deep purple, hawkwind and led zeppelin rode the charts... then came punk, which was awful.. talentless buffoons.

and thankfully we now have dance music (and it million genres) some dance music is great, orchestral trance..its the floyd without the words... house and garage... mm, bang bang thump thump... but given the choice of RnB, pop tunes, and dance..ill go for the dance music every day...God is a DJ.

daughters are into punk...and greenday.. avril is ok, as are teh likes of metallica, and other popular music beat combos... but theyre just parodys of the original we got to see, when i was young..i saw Genesis in 1971-2, it cost me 75p... Deep purple was 1.50p, and hawkwind a few years later was 3 quid...

music is music, as we get older our tastes change... its only rock n role but i like it, like it, yes i do...
