I mean, is it a nice place to live? I just saw a picture of a man by the side of the road in Brazil - looked interesting. What are people's favourite quiet places in Brazil?

It's a great country with 8000 km of beaches and very friendly, lively people. It has its problems, like anywhere else, but no words can describe what it feels like to be by the beach, drinking caipirinha, listening to fantastic brazilian music and watching the gorgeous Brazilian boys (or girls in your case) parading in front of you in their beautiful swimwear.
Not sure I would live there again, would definitely go back for holidays many, many times.

It's very nice, and it's a very big country, with many cities and much more interesting sites. And what do you mean bu quiet places in Brazil? You can't name 'a place in Brazil'! Could you name a quiet place in the USA or Germany, etc?

I'm intrigued ... why did the picture of a man by the side of the road in Brazil look interesting? What was he doing?

It`s a poor but big and beautiful country with friendly people and nice places to live. The big cities have almost everything any other big city in the world has. The nicest places to live in my opinion are: Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Salvador, Recife, Fortaleza, but if you`re looking for quiet places you should try the south, not so crowed, colonized by Germans, nice people and great beaches (Florianópolis, very nice island). You`re welcome to come anytime, we love Americans! :) my boyfriend is American and he loves coming here...
