I can relate to this! I have three cats and the youngest is rather obsessed with me also. He was an inside cat and when we got him I was recovering from an accident so was home with him for the first 3-4 months of his life. Now that he must go outside when I go to work it's like he's going through seperation anxiety- apparently he sits on the fence crying all day (or so the neighbours tell me!) I find that male cats tend to bond with you a lot better than a female- a lot of female cats can be rather aloof. When I am home, I can't go anywhere without him knowing where I am! If I go to the toilet he's scratching on the door, if I go into another room and he doesnt notice me leave he cries and runs around the house looking for me. If I cuddle one of my other cats on my lap he has to jump up and push them off so that he can be on my lap. He's almost 1 now, but sometimes I've learnt that cats just get attached to you! Pickles loves you and wants to be with you, you must treat him very very well.

My cat seems to like strong tasting stuff. I would understand if he was old, because his taste might have gone with old age, but he is 6 months!!
Most cats just like to eat what you are eating, I think that they just like the idea that they are sharing food with you, not you sharing food with them!!
I will try marmite tonight, lol!!

my cat liked to lick the marmite flavour from twiglets then crunch them up afterwards. I only ever gave him a small few pieces as I didn't want them harming him.

Yes both of mine do and my mums cat too. I use it to give tablets its far easier than trying to put it down there throught. I coverd the tablet in marmite and they just eat it. Easy huh..
I guess its a really good treat for them.!!!

I'm hearing you!!! Although I'm in Australia and my cat goes mad for Vegemite. I think it's the saltiness - he's also very fond of peas and hot cross buns!

I hope you don't let your cat get to the marmite. It is so high in salt that she will damage her kidneys beyond repair.
