I just had my hair permanently straightened and I regret every moment of it. It left my hair too straight and with no body whatsoever. I am so embarrassed to even go out. The hairdresser said that I need to wait two days so I can't shampoo it until Sat. I don't think that I can wait that long. What would happen if I shampooed it today and how soon after that can I get a body wave. I can't even look in the mirror. Thank you for your time and please no sarcastic answers.

you are bound to hate it right now because its a big change, but just wait it out for a while, if the hairdresser told you not to wash it then dont. im sure in a week it will have a bit more body and you will end up loving it. trust me people who have perms always say its too curly and people who get there hair coloured the complete opposite to thier hair colour always hate it at first because its always more harsh when youve just had it done. im sure you will be happy with it as soon as you give it a wash and a blow dry.

Well, If you can't wash it for 2 days then use a curling iron on it. And I've never had my hair permanently straightened before but if you get a perm and you wash it too soon it'll wash the perm out so I'm assumin they are the same way. But if you don't want to do that then you need to at least weight about a month/month and a half to get a body wave because you'll end up killin your hair puttin to many chemicals in it. Hope this is some help.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with that. A couple of years ago I had the option of permanently staightening my hair. I talk it over with my stylist multiple time and she helped me realize that I would not be happy with it.
I'm assuming you have naturally curly or wavy hair. You need to embrace it, it isn't so bad to have multiple options.
But if you think it is too straight I would probably recommend washing it. If the hairdresser told you to wait it is probably because if you was it, it will undone what has been done. Although I would definately call the hairdresser and run the idea by her just to make sure. I don't want you to do that and then end up with frizzy hair.
In the future, don't fight with your hair. Realize that you have way more options that the girls with naturally stick straight hair. And that it is way more fun that way.

I suggest you go back to the hairdresser or another hairdresser and ask for help, say that it came out worse than you wanted it to and that you want body back. If you wash it before the time or use any curling iron or product without help from a professional, you might end up with a buzzcut. Please dont do anything stupid get professional trained people to fix your hair.
