A mild psychotherapy only. ........Just to make him understand that Nostalgia is not a suffering but a desirable feeling. Like the pain created by the shaking milk teeth in the kids. These teeth will fall off and give way to good permanent teeth.

So is nostalgia. It will give way to wonderful sense of GRATITUDE towards people who caused it and towards the world itself.

What do you mean by nostalgia? You're hung up on an old girlfriend? You miss your Mom? You wish life were more like the good old days, in your case, the 80's and 90's?

If it's the old girlfriend, get over it and move on. Women don't need old boyfriends hanging around cluttering up their chance at having a good life.

If it's the Mom, call her, go see her, take her to dinner.

If it's the good old days, watch a movie from that era. Get over it, and move on. Life is for living.

If you have serious problems tell your MD and ask for counseling referrals. Good luck.

Nostalgia , like talking about WWII = Not bad
Nostalgia, like when he was 14= Needs more spice in life.
This way when he is 60, he wont have to reminisce how he poped the perfect wheelie with his bike.
