I am planning a set design for a dance/threatre piece and would like to feature the images of these gods within the design along side each other. I would like to know whether there is any symbolic / religious reasons why they should not be placed togther.

do not you study the Hindu Trinity? The Hindu Trinity precedes the christian one, through the way. The Hindu trinity is of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. they're respectively the author, preserver and destroyer of the universe. also they're aligned because the transcendent Godhead, Shiva, the cosmic lord, Vishnu and the cosmic recommendations, Brahma. in this regard they're stated as Sat-Tat-Aum, the Being, the Thatness or immanence and the note or holy spirit. it really is amazingly such as the Christian trinity of God because the daddy, Son and Holy Ghost. The trinity represents the Divine in its threefold nature and performance. each and every element of the trinity incorporates and contains the others.

Rama and Krishna are called Incarnation of Vishnu , so only Vishnu symbol is enough to depict all three. The Lord Harihar represents both Hari(Vishnu) and Hara(Shiva) together. Ganesha is Lord Shiva's son.

So You should opt for Lord Harihar symbol and it will cover them all.

"well as a hindu, there is no reason why u can't. but actually rama and krishna are avatars of vishna, so if ur gona have rama and krishna i would not have vishnu in it.
or u could have the 3 hindus gods vishnu, brahma and shiva "

That's right. I would go for Vishnu, Brahna and Shiva.

If you would ever care to read Mahabhart you would know the answer. Well in that battle Krishna takes a form of this huge god whinch is a combination of alllllllll hindu gods. Hetakes that form to explain to Arjun that lord is one. Yes if you put all alond side there is a religious aspect. But it isn't a taboo. Make sure thate there is one body and all the heads of the gods are joined

I don't believe there would be any reason if it's simply as a symbolic decoration; if it's meant to depict a fixed point in history, it might not work as some of these gods are incarnations of others (Krishna is an incarnation of Vishnu, for example).

Go ahead, if you have story lines .... probably you are hinting at recent furore at depicting the pic. there are no such restrictions so far the practitioners of so called Hinduism is concerned ... even you can put forward newer versions and thought lines ... if they seem credible, generally people shall accept that also as yet another way or path to Salvation ...

luv and SAI RAM,

Dunno if you can get that many trunks and arms on the stage at any one time :-)

Seriously, go ahead. Gilbert and Sullivan produced a whole opera about the Emperor or Japan and his son without knowing the first thing about Japanese culture. It's been a massive success for over 100 years now and shows no sign of losing popularity.

Deity of God's forms are made for worship, not for decoration of your Dance Club.
If you will do such thing then you will definitely be punished by them for doing so.

What does an image profit, for its maker has carved it; a molten image, and a teacher of lies? For does the maker trust in his work on it, to make dumb idols? Woe to him who says to the wood. Awake! To a dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and no breath is in its midst. But Jehovah is in His holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before Him. Hab 2:18-20

Jesus is Lord, so Lord REBUKE Krishna!!!
