Lemon is actually a myth...
Lemon tea is suggested for cold...but if you have a throat infection..don't take it..
It could make it worse....
Ginger tea is good for keeping you warm and putting alert to your immune system..
however lemon only helps you for a little time..and can make it worse..
so I suggest ginger tea...or perhaps your favorite one..

Paracetamol to lower temperature. Or a strong version of camomile tea. Lemon, honey and deep breathing outside the house, not inside the house.. deep breathing to the base of your lungs helps to rid the lungs of particles hanging around your lungs. Also exercise helps your circulation and thus helps immunity and recovery. There has been times when i have had a cold and I go for an hour's swim as soon as the swim is finished, I feel on the road to recovery. You can also cut some lemon and put them on the room. This will help clean the air you breath back into your lungs. Also you can try hot alcohol before doing your exercise.. good luck

Gargles with lemon juice and a pinch of salt...tastes awful, but helps disinfect the throat.
Then before bed hot tea (not too strong), with a touch of lemon juice and lots of honey...helps soften the cough.
If you drink alcoholic beverages, you can add some spirits. either whisky, brandy or rum, and turn it into a hot toddy. Once you are in bed that should help you "sweat out" the cold.
And a couple of glasses of fresh orange juice during the day...This gives you an extra dose of vitamin C... (Either that or eat some oranges).
