I think it just depends on each kid.I have 3 between the ages of 6 and 11.My 9 yr. old is up and ready in 20 minutes. My 11 yr. old takes 'bout an hour and a half , my6 yr. old between 30 and 45 minutes. Just pay attention and wake them accordingly.Waking them at different times also cuts down on the morning arguing.

I just wake my 11 & 10 year old at 6:30 and make breakfast. Then yell for like an hour it's time to get ready....
Start making your kids get thier clothes out the night before with hairbows or whatever they were other then the outfit. Put the shoes near by so if they need to rush everything is there to throw on...My son takes forever to get woke up and going and my daughter is up and ready to go in know time. I think it's the person and how qucik they are to move in the mornings..

Honestly it all depends on the mood the child is in in the morning.I have 7 yr old boy and theres days it frustrates me on how long he takes to get ready. Then theres days he's ready before I am.Just think next year I will have two in school .My daughter will be starting pre k and I will have a newborn at home as well.Just try and find a routine that works best for all of you.I say give them about a hour and a half. That should be enough time to wake up , eat breakfast, brush there teeth, get dressed etc.Good luck I know its hard.

Hi. I have 2 kids (6 and 8) and we get up at 6:30 a.m and are out the door by 7:25 a.m. Our routine is, get out of bed, then they go lay under a blanket on the couch. I allow this for about 10 mins, just to allow them to adjust a little. They then get up and get dressed, get hair brushed, brush their teeth, then lay back on the couch. Usually they are done and on the couch (again) by about 7:15. So in all it takes about 40 minutes to get them ready. For a 12 yr. old I would allow a little longer, that is if she has to put make-up on and style her hair. A way to help cut down on time is to pull out the school clothes the night before. It helps us a lot. Also, mine eat breakfast at their school so I didn't figure that into the time.

My 5 year old daughter sometimes drags her heels in the mornings and its very frustrating because I have a 6 month old as well. But on average I reckon she doesn't take more than 15 - 20 minutes to have her breakfast, dress and brush her teeth in the mornings.

P.S. the problem sometimes is to have to try and get her out of bed!!!

My 5 yr old takes about 30 mins. He gets 12 hours of sleep but moves slow in the morning and talks instead of getting dressed and such.

every child is different..my 16 yr old(girl) can be ready in 10 minutes but my 11 yr old(boy) needs time to chill in the morning before moving. I give them both 45 minutes in the morning to get up and do what they need to do. you just have to find out what works best in your house.

It's according to what time they have to be in school; if you drive them or if they take the bus.

Take the clothes out for school the night before....give their baths the night before...wash them up in the morning.

A one and one half hour time span is good to awaken them if they're due in school by 8:00am.

Awaken them at 6:00 am.with Breakfast being served at 6:30 am. They both should be ready to leave out between 7:00am.- 7:30 am to arrive at school by 8:00 am., of course, you'll have to make adjustments according to the traveling distance from your home to the school.

1/2 hour - 40 minutes (including breakfast)

Have them pick out thier clothes the night before. That saves several minutes. This way they roll out of bed and get dressed.
