She has me round her little finger and I have to do something. I have decided that I am not going to chase her and she is going to have to make an effort if she wants the relationship to work out.

How long should I ignore her for? without causing too much offence.

Also I am going to spent time with girl friends of mine that are just friends.

I have been advised to say that I cant see her some nights even if I can.

Am I going about this the right way ?

Don't ignore her...are you a man or mouse.
You know you'll give in and text her anyway...
Be honest with her,how else is she going to know how you feel...

.Either if you want some space or want to end it,the longer you leave it the more hurt it will cause...for both of you !! Good luck x

no no no no no

you just tell her the TRUTH. why is it so hard for men to do. Its your fault she has you wrapped round her little finger, you allowed it to happen, now you have to fix it. Tell her she doesnt make you feel man enough as she is forever tellingyou what to do or what not to do. Tell her you are sick of chasing her. tellher you LOVE her (if you do that is) and that you want to be with her and you dont want this not to work out. then tell her you are going to stop running around after her and you wanna make another go of it but in a different way. no demands from her or you, just chillin out and enjoying the time you have together. if you ignore her and go cold sholder on her, chances are, she will be able to do it much better than you whichwill result in the end of you two. is that what you want. with RESPECT, grow up a little, you can do this bY EXPRESSING THE WAY YOU FEEL AND BEING HONEST. ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT. if she mocks your feelings and makes you feel small, sheaint fu*kin worth the hassle mate.

Play the games.
It will be worth it.
She will come running into your arms.
Most women suffer from ADD and are really traumatised when you don't call them often enough.
Worse yet.. if she has you wrapped around her little finger then she knows you're sprung.
It's not too bad to be sprung but if she knows that you're whipped then you live on **** street.
The girl will use it against you at every chance she gets.
That's how our sex is.
It happens all the time.
Just chillax and let her come to you.
She'll suddenly be wondering if you love her and make time all the time to be with you.
Hanging with other girls might be a tad distracting and make you look as though you're cheating. DONT!!
Just hang with your boys too much. She'll get the message.

no you are playing mind games. personally what i would advise is to talk to her - tell her that you are feeling that she has all the control in the relationship and yet she doesn't make any effort. that you would like to see more of your friends but that you are still as committed to her. if you start ignoring her or whatever you are just going to leave her feeling confused and hurt, and may mean that she then starts playing mind games with you - its a slippery slope. honesty is the best policy here i think - just be tactful!

Too be honest, it doesn't sound if you are truly happy in the relationship itself.
I think you may need to asses if you actually want the realtionshiop at all.
The most importnatn question is: Do you love her?

But also I think people do need time out form their relationships, just to chill, relax and do what they want for a night or 2.

Good luck and I hope you work it out

You are not being specific about why you think she has you round her little finger... Have you tried talking to her about your concerns?... Communication is better than just ignoring her and playing hard-to-get... Get to the root of the problem and see if it can be solved rather than creating space between you.

Definately not. What your doing is playing mind games.
Why don't you sit her down and explain how your feeling and if you cannot come to a compromise maybe you are not meant to be together, It should be a little of give and take on both parts.
Ignoring her will only fuel the fire.

if you hang out with your (girl) friends then she's gonna go ape....not texting her is one thing but meeting up with other girls (friends or not) is like Twai said...playing with fire, friends or not, it's not nice to ignore your girlfriend then contact another mates just coz you think this girl is playing on you, more fool you for allowing yourself to be wrapped round her little finger...text her but just dont make plans with her until her attitude changes, keep in contact with her, and be more manly with her, the more youcave into her demands, the more she will do it, say no...point blank...be a man about it, then stop listening to what other people think of her, she's your girl, just stop telling people what she's like...your making enemies for her, deal with this without anyone else getting involved.....and dont ignore her just because she is demanding

Way wrong, Don't cut off the communication all together or act like a but to cater to your need to feel like she wants you just be busy for a few days. Dont avoid her or try to spite her unless you want her to be mine, or his or his. take some time time to breathe and the female friend thing bad bad idea.

be honest, say you want to spent time with friends, and you will see her on certain evenings, but are missing your mates too.. Having female mates should not be a problem as long as you are honest and also allow her to do the same, as long as she does not think you are window shopping. we all need our own space and independent friends when in a relationship.. but be honest.
