Since the very early ages - check history - long hair was synonym with woman and cut hair with men.
The Bible (if you are a Christian) even teaches for a woman NOT to cut her hair at all and for men to do so.
What has happened that the woman started doing what they are doing.
It`s nowadays hardly impossible to distinguish between a man and a woman due to the short hair and clothing of woman.
In past times it was customary to cut the hair of a woman when she was found to be a unfaithful to her husband, as a sign of an identified whore.
It sure appears to me that the world is sewn with identified whores . The individual might be pure for that matter but her appearance gives that impression due to the short hair.
Has the church system not perhaps lead the poor people astray into idolatry, where their gods told them it was okay if they do so ...?
Even common decency (sense) tells you it is more woman like for a woman to have long hair and for a man to have their hair cut

Awesome. So now I'm a whore because my hair's too thick to deal with when it's long. Judging people on their appearance is completely the greatest thing ever.
Pray tell, what would this make my (in a committed, faithful relationship, I might add) significant other, who is male and has hair halfway down his back?
In case it's not clear, this is sarcasm, and I really don't appreciate being called a whore, even indirectly.
