The Prez and the PM both are known to be really clean. If they start a campaign, I am sure the Media will join enthusiastically. That should indeed make a powerful beginning. But how far even that can go would depend on the Most powerful person ( you know who) - dependence on a dozen political parties for survival of the Govt. may prove the villain.
We are doomed not because of the level and spread of corruption so much, as due to the fact that values have changed in the society to such an extent that the corrupt are no longer either condemned or even shunned.

When the world stops being corrupt, then India will also stop being corrupt. Corruptions starts from you and me and you start working on it then the entire nation will join with you. First the system has to change and the political interference with Police must stop. There are quite a few ways of stopping corruption but like Sex, corruption will also prevail till such time human beings exist in this world.

Corruption can be eradicated when the punishment laid by the law is severe. Officers involed in corruption must not be given any job anywhere, inorder to put a fullstop for their earnings. Their faces must be revealed to the public, like the pickpockets identities shown in the railway station, bus station, police station, etc. So that, on seeing this, other persons will not indulge themselves in corruption. Only when a unselfish leader comes to power, corruption will come to an end, as the culprits are seeking help from the selfish political leaders....

You can't stop corruption that's prevalent in any large scale sized country or city....and yes: that inculdes every city (and small town) in America. Best you can hope for is the corrupt find God and retire from organized white collar crime; something very unlikely, seeings they don't care if God exists or not.

A COLLECTIVE APPROACH IS THE NEED OF THE HOUR TO CONTAIN THE MENACE OF CORRUPTION...WE NEED TO REVAMP OUR EDUCATION POLICIES..RECRUITMENT POLICIES AND REMUNERATION POLICIES...AND MOST IMPORTANTLY EVERY RIGHT MINDED CITIZEN OF INDIA HAS TO BE VIGILANT IN ASSISTING THE ADMINISTRATION IN NABBING THE CULPRITS .....THIS IS A SLOW BUT SURE SHOT PROCESS TO ENSURE THAT OUR NEXT GENERATION HAVE A CORRUPTION FREE SOCIETY....
