Ask yourself what you do during the day. Do you work in an environment where there is constant loud noise? Are you one of those people who walks around with a mp3 player plugged into your head all day? Often people who are exposed to constant loud noise don't realize it during the day, because they've become accommodated to it. Then at night, when they are trying to sleep, there is a constant ringing sound in their ears. If this is the case, you need to either turn down the volume (or take a break all together from earphones), or use ear protection in your work environment.
If you cannot explain the ringing by associating it to loud noise during the day, you need to see a doctor.

Sounds to me (sorry about the pun!!), as though you are suffering from tinnitus, which is a ringing, buzzing or popping in the ear. Look it up on yahoo there are loads of sites.

pretty cool and informative check it out !
it's probably because you've damaged your ear and it' keeps moving this little thing .. everytime you hear something that little thing moves and since you heared something really loud it won't stop from ringing.. it's weird... but it makes a lot of sense once you read the site:) try to listen to some music if you can't fall asleep... i've had that feelings too when i go see bands play.
be careful my band teacher had tinnitus...... but anyways read the site :)hope it helps!

It sounds (sorry about that) like "Tinnitus". I've had it for about 4 years and its horrible. Go to an otologist (ear doctor) for a checkup.

you either have a hearing problem or a blood pressure problem. I would go see a doctor. Could be tinnitus or high blood pressure.
