If it is true love, forever, and ever. Amen. There are no stats to indicate soul mates. If you are in the early stages, it is called lust, take out the sex and the romanticism and play on the life stage. That is the true test. In a relationship there is one partner who loves the other more. If that realtionship breaks down, the totally infatuated one usually can not move on and they become depressed and despondant etc. That is why there is so much domestic violence and fatalities with spouses and children. They could not accept the fact the realtionship was over and take out drastic measures over the next few months that usually prove fatal, thereby destroying the lives of many.
So a deep sense of sharing , caring, trust, empathy, sympathy and tolerance is required to make a relationship work. It takes years to build a solid relationship, especially if there are children involved and you need to continue building your life, your goals, your future.
There is no such thing as a level playing field, it is going up and down mountains. Your positve/negative peak is at the top of the mountain. Depends how you plan to go down it, is the way you are going to lead your life.

If you start off looking for the time limit then she is not the girl of your dreams. If she was you'd be in the moment enjoying yourself and not thinking about when it will end or how long you have.
One final thought...avoid dreams and fantacies and all that stuff cuz reality ALWAYS falls short. Live every moment of your relationship as if it's your last, plan for the here and now, and don't over think things.

first check your age over 25 that dream girl could be your dream girl forever. If you both stay true to each other and follow the steps of true love you could be together as long as you both live. Under 25 in my opinion is to young to get married, because the wild side of your life is still happening, and by the time 25 and up comes along your thoughts of settling down somewhat starts to going through your head, job masters degree,just don't rush into something your both not ready for.

To be honest, I don't know. I suppose, it all depends on the strength of the relationship. the compatiblity of horoscope signs and how much time you're willing to put into the relationship. It also depends on you and your partners attitudes, and the will to keep the relationship going thru the not so easy times.
I'll say this though... to keep the romance strong, try going to places that you've never been to, and make the most of your time together. Play together, work together, talk and listen to each other often, if you or your partner are willing to try something different, ask them to try it with you, or vice versa. Don't force your partner to do something they don't want to do!
As long as the activity you both trying is enjoyable, & doesn't endanger both you and your partner, you both should be happy. Just Remember .... whether its for a short time, or long time, cherish what love you have for each other.

Love or Lust ? The love will last for ever if you work at it. The Lust -Never lasts long enough. But good things never last anyway and the love is more important in the long run.
