Iam getting married in the month of Decmeber this year.My fiance is in US and i need to apply for tatkal passport..Along with the documents generally needed for passport,what other proof should i provide to get passport at tatkal scheme..?
1. Should i give a letter mentioning that iam getting married in December and as i have other procedures to follow,i apply for tatkal passport?
2. Is that needed to give any proof of marriage-like the marriage invitation or some other receipts? or should i get a letter from my fiance mentioning that he is planning to mary me in december with all his passport and visa details?

Hi,
Please get an invitation from US regarding post marriage settlement in US. Further, give proof of your finace` work in US and provide Marriage card (in original). Provide a letter from your side stating urgency of passport and apply in Tatkal scheme. Go directly to Office behind Hyatt Regency in Delhi (that is if you stay in Delhi) else the main passport office of your city. You should get your passport within 15 days.

You will have to meet the Passport Officer alongwith all relevant documents of urgency and verification certificate issued by competent authority. If passport officer is satisfied with the documents of urgency and genuineness of verification certificate, he may order for acceptance of additional fee amount to be deposited at counter and issue of passport as early as feasible. The additional documents needed are to be reiterated :-
1) Verification Certificate issued by competent authority ( Not ntecessary if clear Police report has been received in Passport Office by the time)
2) Documents regarding Urgency
The fee is Rs. 1500/- for tatkal PP issue within 10 days

For tatkal passport u should see the passport officer of your region office. You have to take with u some proof of your marriage. From that office you will get a specified performa for police report so you can obtain the report in short time by hand inspite of their long process. The common fee for passport is Rs. 1000/- , but for tatkal passport u hav to pay Rs. 1500/- extra at passport office. in this way u will get passport within 15 days after you submit applicaion,necessary fee and police report to the passport office.

To apply for a passport under Tatkaal Scheme , you have to submit your application with all copies of relevant documents as in the ordinary case with relevant fee and meet the passport officer with the following additional requirements to convince him/her about the genuineness of the urgency and to order for the acceptance of your application under Tatkaal scheme.
Documentary evidence in support of your claim for obtaining a passport on out of turn basis i.e. urgency proof.
A verification certificate (as per specimen at Annexure G of the application form) from any of the notified competent authorities on their official stationery/letter head with one photo pasted on the certificate and attested with signature partly on the certificate and partly on photograph.

Prove that your fiancee is in the US. It is the only way that you can get a US visa.
