When it s still wet, you can use some salt- yes, that really helps- saved a tablecloth like that.

If you prefer the more modern (and safer) way, I recommend "Vanish Oxy Action Prewash" or "Vanish Oxy Action Max Powder".
Can t recommend "Vanish Carpet Foam" though , it s just useless.

P.S.: Guess I ll soon be elected in the official Reckitt Benckiser Cleaning Ladies Team lol

You've not mentioned what you've stained on carpet, clothing, fabric?

There are a few brand name products that purport to remove wine stains, like Wine Magic, or Wine Away. You’ll want to avoid harsh chemicals, as they can damage the cloth beyond a mere stain.

It would have been best to act quickly, but I'm guessing it's already set. Try mixing dishwashing soap with hydrogen peroxide. The chemical reaction should help get rid of a red stain. The soap creates a solubility in the stain that allows the peroxide to remove it. If the stain is on clothing, you can just add this mixture to the wash. On the carpet, pour it over the stain, and blot with a clean cloth.

If it is a recent spill (just happened) dob some white wine on a napkin and use it to clean up the red wine spill. If the stain has set use something like Oxyclean.

One way is to soak the stain in some white wine... then wash as usual. Sounds crazy but it really works.

I had to clean up the darkest red wine in the world the other night when my 5 year old knocked over my glass. I used milk straight away. Then cool water with a detergent in and scrubbed like billyho. It came out completely. Good luck

If it's just been tipped pour white wine over it. Sounds strange but it does work. If it's a dried stain I used that 1001 stuff.

O.K from washable fabric- squirt soda water over the stain. From carpet sprinkle absorbent powder, leave overnight then vacuum. Finally from linen, put the fabric in a pot and cover with milk. Bring to the boil, remove from heat , allow fabric to sit in the milk until the stain disappears.

Try using White Wine. I have heard that it works but never seen it or tried it.
