how did the dove get an olive leaf when it takes time before even olives germinate to form a leaf? and why does he need a dove for? cant he just look outside the window? .

Olives are propagated commercially from cuttings, and have been for thousands of years. According to Californian horticulturist Dr Walter Lammerts, if pieces of olive branch are buried in the soil, they will sprout shoots very rapidly.
So the olive species probably survived as broken pieces of shoots or roots. In fact, they can regenerate from almost any fragment. Interestingly, the olive is one of the hardiest of horticultural plants, noted for its tenacity and long life (Psalm 52:8).
The word translated window in the Genesis 8:6 only occurs here and its precise meaning is unclear. Maybe a hatch in the roof?

In the life of believers miracles are possible. In the group if disbelievers this is one more proof that the Bible consists of stories invented by human beings.
