Clean the area really well to ensure that it doesn't smell of him - he will keep using the area as a toilet if his scent remains. The only thing that will really shift the stench of cat urine is:
1. wash the area with a strong solution of biological washing powder and water (1 part powder, 6 parts water)
2. rinse the area clean with a fairy liquid solution - the washing powder will leave a white residue otherwise
3. spray the area with surgical spirit - you can buy this from the chemist and will need to decant it into a spritzer bottle. Surgical spirit will mask any previous smells and eradicate any traces of urine that may remain.

Finally, take an item of your own cat's bedding etc and rub it all over the clean (and dry) area - this will transfer your cat's smell onto the area and help to ward off rival moggies.

Should he continue, you can buy natural animal repellents like Lion's Roar (lion dung - enough to put any domestic cat off!) which can be spread around neighbouring flower beds / pots (it doesn't stink - don't worry!) or synthetic repellents like 'cat off' - however, this would then affect your own cat, so bear this in mind.

Wash the door down with a biological washing powder as the enzymes remove the smell properly, then put some drops of citronella oil or eucalyptus oil on the door frame and doorsteap. It might be worth talking to your neighbour to find out if the cat is neutered and if not, ask that he be done, not only to prevent him fromwanting to scent mark everywhere but for his own benefit since unneutered toms are the cause of hundreds of unwanted kittens being born, get terrible wounds in cat fights with other tom cats, are more likely to get run over as they wander far away in search of unneutered females and once neutered they are much nicer pets.
If the neighbour is elderly or doesn't drive, perhaps offer to drive her and the cat to the vet and collect it afterwards if it gets neutered. A little give and take goes along way :-)

Last year my beautiful Manx cat Theodore went out for the evening and never came back. I love cats and the house didn't feel the same without one, so I picked up Lola from a rescue centre. She was very frightened and would pee all over the house. I found Cat Spraying No More on the internet and the techniques worked almost immediately. I haven't had a problem with Lola since. Amazing!

Can't stop your cat peeing in the house? Then worry no more...

First of all because he has scented there in the first place unless all trace is washed away he will continue to sniff and mark, using a hot water and bleach solution clean the door and frame ,put some mustard about by the frame as he will sniff at it and it will give him a unpleasant smell and taste .fill some empty coke bottles up with water and put two down for a while on either side of door .
yes and another thing if you catch the cat doing the spraying soak him .
Another option is telling the owner to neuter him.

I can thoroughly recommend using a product called 'Feliway' spray - it has stopped my cats spraying around the house. You might want to ask the cat owner to contribute though as it is quite expensive - £15 to £20 in the UK.

It did manage to change my cats habits after 2 weeks so is a good investment

Orange peel on your doorstep, lemon juice or pepper. I would speak to your neighbour too and ask them to keep the cat out your garden. I had 5 of the buggers at my door when my female cat was in heat so i know what it feels like!!!

Scrub off any traces of the scent and then spray lemon juice on the door, they hate the smell.

Vinegar does the trick - on the door - not the cat!

tell the owner and make them clean it up. The smell of that makes me sick. Tell them to get it spayed and then they cant do it again. Report her
