Your HDL has to be minimum 45.... mine is 74. Secondly high tryglicerides is due to consumption of oily foods, deepfried items, consumption of alcohol. Change the cooking medium (oil) to Groundnut oil, include lots of fruits, raw or boiled vegetables... then also eat raw garlic. Go for walk that is 5 kms in 45 minutes every morning.....I have been doing it for thepast three years 7 days a week when my HDL was 40 and today it is 74. I am 55 yrs old now. HDL is bad cholestrol and can lead to blockage of arteries resulting into cardiac (heart) problems

Look at the sugar content in weight watchers,as they are very high,I'm a type 2 diabetic so i have to look for low sugar, low fat food which is not easy to do,but i have lost weight by just eating 1 bowl of cereal for breakfast then 2 bowls of porridge made with water then i add plain fat free yogurt with canderel sugar,i also drink loads of green tea with sweeteners,as this is good for you and it helps to suppress your appetite,I'm confined to a wheelchair but have lost just over 2st since May this year,so if you are active you will lose loads,it's not an easy diet to keep to but it works,as long as you keep your mug filled with green tea,i wish you good luck, ps the 2 bowls of porridge are eaten at mid afternoon and about 7pm

It may be the right diet, however you must be consuming too much of it. Cut it half and give it some time.
