Smiling is infectious, You catch it like the flu. When someone smiled at me today, I started smiling too. I passed around the corner, and someone saw my grin. When he smiled i realized, I'd passed it on to him. I thought about that smile, then i realized its worth. A single smile just like mine, could travel the earth. So, if u feel a smile begin, don't leave it undetected. Let's start an epidemic quick, and ge the world infected!!

I really think you can! and the reason I think this is because sometimes when I am having a bad day, or feeling depressed and someone smiles at me it makes me feel better. It might sound cheesy...but it really does. Especially since there are also alot of rude people. And you never know your smiling at me as we pass on the street could put me in a better mood and then maybe I will think to do something nice for someone else, which will impact them to do something nice....and so on. It does make the world a better place, the small things are the ones that count the most.

More than you ever know. When a complete stranger smiles at you for no particular reason, you just feel as if the world is a much friendlier place, and somehow it will make your day. Think about how you spend your day when you feel good about something. Don't you just want to do everything well? And if everyone does it...

Something as simple as a smile could eventually effect everyone on the planet.

Example:
You smile at me on my way in to the office. It makes me a little happier. I then go a little out of my way to help a customer. That customer having got his access early enought to go on a search and rescue mission. He saves someone that later solves world hunger. YAAAA, your smile helped solve world hunger. So smile at a stranger every day. :)

here's how I look at it. If I go out of my way to be nice to one person, go the extra mile to do something for them (which I do in my job everyday) then that will intern put them in a giving mood and maybe they will go out of their way for another person and so on and so on, it's the flow on effect.

So in short yes you can. By just being nice to someone, say the girl at the supermarket, by asking her how she is and actually caring about her answer could change her whole day...By sitting and talking to an old man at the bus stop could do so much...It's the small things that people remember, you can change lives by just being nice.
