God I love this song....the lyrics may talk about suicide but it's beautiful in such a sad way. Kirk's performance is incredible, hell everyone did an incredible job producing this song. I listen to it almost everyday! My favorite part is the beginning, I used to like the end when I first started to listen to it.

Hey did "Battery" (Metallica tribute band) redo Fade to black? It's always awesome to collect different versions of Fade to Black. I have a few that are live, the one in1985 KICKS ***!!!

That Is my favorite Metallica song of all time...after 26 years I still need to listen to it at least once a day, usually when I log-on to my computer... yes the beginning is the best part...

Yeah man I've been listening to that song since Ride the Lightning came out in 1984. Uhhh that whole album is ridiculous and Master of Puppets is better. It is ironic that the song was wtritten by Cliff Burton, who died 3 years later (RIP Cliff).

I played Fade to black last year in school...was awesome.the solos are simply amazing and go with the riffs perfectly...the whole song is just brilliant...
BTW Im the biggest Metallica fan on this site:D
