Yes, it is true that the chart is roughly:
Christianity: 2.1 billion
Islam: 1.3 billion
However, Christianity isn't united like it should be. Those statistics include Eastern Orthodox, Catholics, and Protestants all into the Christianity category, mainly because they all have the same fundamental beliefs. (FYI: Catholicism is the largest Christian religion, followed by Protestantism.)
However, if we were to seperate Catholics and Protestants, Islam would be the greatest population religion.
Another thing to remember is that Muslims families tend to be much larger than Christian families (save for the Camdon family (that was a joke)), so I foresee Islam eventually in the lead.
Just remember: it's not a race; the religion with the largest population doesn't mean that it's the "truer" religion. Lol.

Christianity right now has the largest "religion" but it is nowhere near makes up a majority of the entire world. However, technically it is hardly the largest religion as it has the smallest amount of practicing faithfuls of any of the major religions....hence when you ask someone in the west what religion they are and they say Catholic etc they are probably not really and probably don't practice or truly believe but it is just what the were chrisened etc....but it is not really who they are or has any effect on their lives.

no it is not. it has about 1 billion practitioners, as does islam. there are five other major religions which have about six billion practitioners all together, plus several hundred minor ones with about a billion more. christianity may be present in most countries, but so is islam and judaism fairly well known throughout the majority of countries world-wide. and some countries even ban certain religions so as to keep their own religion the major one in those countries, or not have any religion at all, except as an underground practice as occurs in china.

NO, Christianity has only 30% followers and practising Christians are not even 10%.
Islam with 19% and Hinduism with 14% are other two major religions...and practising Hindus and practising Muslims are most probably greater than practising Christians which we can see from Hindu festival of Kumbha mela where 70 MILLION HINDUS gather at one place from around the world and Islamic Hajj festival where 2.5 MILLION MUSLIMS gather at one place from around the world ...Hindu temples and Mosques are always crowded. On the other hand Christian churchs are almost empty.

yes. But actually, those counted as Christians are not actually Christians. Some nvr pray, they dont believe in Christianity.
If you see the concept of Christianity, there are lots of groups.. means the people dont work and agree with each other. That is why they seperate into groups and have their own christian beliefs.
So, Christians are not united.

It used to be but now a days, many people are switching to Islam.
Islam is on the rise as the majority religion.
Because in the end, all religions are based on the same beliefs but just taught in a different way to their followers.
