first born males in Egypt. What value do men hold over women in this strategy.
I will note here that I believe men and women (as well as transgendered) hold equal worth.

In the male dominated societies of those days killing the oldest son and heir would be the worst thing that you could do to another man. Of course the real story is about how and why the hebrews hated the egyptians and these events never took place.

From earliest times the firstborn were those devoted to God.It was the firstborn that served as a priest for each family.The firstborn of Egypt would therefore be those set apart for the worship of their god.
It was a demonstration of Jehovah's power on that occasion.The gods of Egypt were judged helpless that night and so proved no gods.

If you are referring to the plagues, it was the Pharaoh that doomed the Egyptian first born with what he said. Read about in the Bible.

i believe to stop the males who were gonna come into power and to let them know god is always in control even if u dont see it he still is.....
