I've been "in love" with this guy for about a year and a half now, and we saw each other on and off for a while, then he became distant and pushed me away. (which friends were telling me that it was because he was afraid of "messing things up") We remained friends and hung out often, but every time he saw me with other guys, he'd get jealous. Then, on his birthday, he told me that he had feelings for me, but after I told him that I had feelings for him too, he became distant again. Since then, everytime we hang out together, he is SUPER nice. he's always trying to hold my hand, and hugs me alot, even gives me compliments and is very protective. He even invites me to his house all the time and is always happy to see me... and one day he was bragging about how his sister wanted us to be together. I want to confront him about all this, but I am afraid that he will push me away again. What would you do?

Well I was in a similar situation years back. You should talk to him and tell him how you feel. Tell him excactly what you told us. It's obvious that you like eachother. In my situation the guy did excactly what you described and it irritated me. We were the best of friends, always hanging out and people asked us all the time were we dating and we weren't. When we finally got sick of the question we decided to get together meaning become boyfriend and girlfriend. Not much changed in our relationship but he started becoming distant. I thought that was weird and I asked him about it. I never got a straight answer but you know guys can't excactly express themselves like us females. Anyway, we ended up breaking up and becoming even closer. It ws weird and still is but we are better friends then lovers...such is life.

Play it cool for a while and let him come to you. Guys love the chase, but once they know that you are with them, they no longer have the all important chase. So then you have to occasionally be a little distant and let him call you, or him pick you up. Let him open the door etc. Although dont be a ***** about it.

Or you could go with plan B. Tell him about "this guy you really like" who keeps pushing you away everytime you think that theres a chance of something happening. Ask his oppinion of what you should do. Then do it to him straight away and walk off.

Or plan C. Get good friends with his closes male friend and explain your situation. Explain that if he likes you, you aren't willing to wait for him forever, and you dont like these silly games he is playing. Either he likes you or he likes toying with you, but you shouldn't be the the cat that he is dangling the piece of yarn in front of.

Hope one of these suits your situation. All the best.

After a year and a half, it's commitment time. Start talking about future plans, marriage, etc. and see if he runs. If he does, you have lost nothing.

Continue to be persistent and have patients. I think he has feeling for you, but he's just not ready right now. Maybe he had a painful breakup before and is scared of repeating it.

i think u need to wait until he is ready about it...
u may talk to him but what if he gonna push u away again and then u get hurt...
all u need to do is be friends and have fun for now...if he is not sure about his feelings for u then he will leave u again...so,ill say just wait and hang on....
