The capital of Old Kingdom Egypt was the city of Memphis.
The Middle Kingdom is a period in the history of ancient Egypt stretching from the establishment of the Eleventh Dynasty to the end of the Fourteenth Dynasty, roughly between 2125 BC and 1648 BC.
The period comprises of 2 phases, the 11th Dynasty, which ruled from Thebes
The New Kingdom and Third Intermediate Period ... and Memphis remained the hallowed capital
and the last one is not a capital but a pharaoh
