I would say 75% accurate for calling a girl in the 15th week. If you weigh 120 or less, the odds go up. Conversely the more you weigh the less accurate it will be at 15 weeks. I would not buy pink yet, and get another US when you are 20 weeks.

They say you can never be sure that it is a girl, until the end. It is easier with boys, because their little thing is easier to spot. However, if the baby is in a good position, the doctor can predict the sex quite well. I found out that I would have a boy when I was only about 18 weeks pregnant, and that was correct. Good luck!

Well hopefully you are not in your 15 month! LOL. There is a 50/50 chance at this stage. I was told at 16 weeks my first baby was a girl and she was. I could clearly see for myself that she was a little girl! But then I have heard the stories of the doctors being wrong. I guess you will just have to wait and see.

It is exact minimum time to scan gender of child is completion of 13 weeks. But the main point is that the doctor doing ultrasound may be well qualified radiologist.

If you are in India, then you can get arrested for wanting to know the sex of the unborn child. And the ultrasound scan centre can lose its license for disclosing the same and get prosecuted.

Boy or girl what difference does it make. When all we want is a healthy and happy baby.

Many of my friens had been told they are having baby girl but what they actually got is the opposite. They(the specialists) usually confuse the mail**** with the umblical cord and say it is boy anyways do not be concerned too much that doesn't matter but the haelth.Eat healthy food and enjoy your time.

Why to bother even if it is a girl? I am a father of my only daughter and I feel that I am the happiest person in the world. My wife also feels the same. Girls are more loving, caring, understanding.........like mine.
Whether it is boy or fortunately a girl, believe me, he or she will be lucky to have wonderful mother like you.

ask you doctor if you'll be having another ultrasound. cause if yes you could find out again. if not i guess you play the right or wrong game. plus that its a nice surprise to wait for. but then again does it matter which sex as long as the baby is healthy.

There not entirely accurate ever, but certainly not that early. Most doctors don't guess at gender until 22-23 weeks.
