First of all her kids have nothing to do with you in the first few months of the relationship. Because they get attached easily and you don't want them hurt if you two don't work out. Next is, if you think this is the woman for you start taking a little responsibility for the kids. Get to know them, etc. Be supportive for her and her kids and that doesn't mean finacially. Good Luck.

Use as much attention on her kids as you would her! It is fine to want to do things with her, but you will never get far if you don't do more with them. She will notice. You can't expect a mother to forget about her kids just for a man. You either take the family as a whole or walk away!

Don't. Kids are the hardest hearts to win over, especially when the situation they see is: "Mom is dating a stranger." You're better off finding a single woman without kids. Sad, but true. And better in the long run.

Look for a quiet place for the date. If possible, one with a kindergarten inside... If there is one.
If not, be sympathetic with the kids, give them some gifts, entertain them, and good luck!
It always depends of the kids' age, of course.

As a single mother, I personally want a man to see me for who I am. Not just a "single mother".

I want to date him, get to know him, figure out what I want and then introduce him to my daughter.

Don't treat us differently to women without the so called "baggage". Not all of us single mums are money hungry and want someone to pay their bills.

It can be a big step for someone to be involved in a relationship that includes someone else's children, trust me I know. But, you have to remember some of us didn't choose to become single parents. Unfortuntely, events occured which lead to it.

Make sure you give her advance notice when you want to take her out. At least offer to pay for a baby sitter. Include her kids sometimes

you have to be totally responsible and committed because you are in the presence of children and they are so easily attached to people. Be very cautious when getting into something like this because you have the burden of breaking several hearts. If you don't have kids and are not ready for that responsibility I say just don't do it. good luck
