She keeps scratching, biting & licking, more than she did before the treatment. I'm pretty certain we have a major infestation problem here. But shouldn't the Frontline be helping her? What can I do to fix the problem? Also, she's very small & the Frontline dripped to the side of her shoulder blades. Will her licking it lead to ineffectiveness? Please help me.

I use Frontline on my dog too and it's typical that pets get lethargic after a drop of Frontline, so it's nothing you should be worried about. Regarding the drip...well, just observe for the next three days. If it hasn't done anything at all, maybe you should call your vet about it.

you put it where she can lick it? That will make her sick! And it isnt typical for a cat to react like that from frontline plus. She may be having a reaction to something in it.. I would wash it off best you can and give a 1/2 cc of benedril or just wait until you can get into the vet..

Watch her closely, if she becomes lathargic or acts as though she can't see or hear you. She may have a reaction to it.Get her to a VET ASAP! Make sure you have the right weight frontline as well. You don't want to over do the medication. Another thing is once you put it on an animal give them something to eat. It does effect their taste for several minutes which upsets them.

Wash it off her right away....she's probably allergic to it. Also, I don't think you should let her lick it. I put some on my cats, one just about went nuts, but didn't bother the other one. Her skin turned red and some of her hair fell out, even after I washed her.

I think it's just the feel of it on their skin. Some of my cats and one of my dogs do the same thing, roll, scratch, etc. for about 24 hrs.after application. I would just try to distract her with some treats or catnip until she forgets about it.If things don't improve in 24 hrs.,you should ask your vet for advice.
