I experienced that walking @ speed of 6-7 km/hr,5-7 times a wk ,each for 45-60 minutes does not bring down high blood pressure, but jog @ 9-12km/hr for 2- 3 times a wk for 45-60 minutes does have better result.
Any comments/advice?

Exercise is very good for hypertension. It may not reduce it, but it can be an effective part of a treatment regimen for high blood pressure.

Hypertension is caused by many things, but many of us got it from our parents, through heredity. Fortunately mine is mild, and responds to fairly mild medications. I try to exercise, and my preferred method is on my bicycle.

You can manage your hypertension through diet, exercise and medication, but you do need to see a doctor regularly and you need to have your blood pressure checked regularly, preferably by a nurse or medical professional, since taking your own is not always reliable. (Mine goes up when I take it.)
