It is a German term and liqueur , it means "master hunter"- jager pronounced as a y- so it sounds like you say Yea ger my ster. It is meant to be sipped straight with a slice of lemon at most- though some folks do like to mix. Never tried it with Red Bull, I like it neat.

Jaeger means hunter - and Meister is Master - so if you are talking about direct translation - it is Master Hunter in English - but when you speak of Wine - it is without equal, the best that the Master of the Vinter could offer you.
