No....but I'd support putting you in jail for the rest of your life. I don't think it's an illness rather they are just biologically built that way.

Is this question a joke? This is 2006 not 1956- being gay is not an illness. People who see this as an illness are the ones who need therapy. As long as they are adults having sex with other adults who the hell even cares what others do in their bedrooms?

No. The more research that is done concerning the genetics of having a gay gene, the more the concensus agrees:

Being Gay, Lesbian, Transgendered or Transsexual IS NOT AN ILLNESS.

IT IS GENETIC.

It is the same thing as asking if we should put people with your color eyes in therapy to help your illness. Can you help what color your eyes are naturally? OK.

It is funny-strange that I should run across your question, because of the T-2 experiments (therapies) used in Germany in 1937.

Germany decided to "put" people with disabilities in "therapy" to help them and their families. So, the disabled were shipped away to therapy and guess what? They all mysteriously died. It was later found out that the FIRST group of people to be exterminated during the WWII years were the disabled.

Lastly, the people of which you are speaking about are people before they are gay and your sentence structure, therefore, is in error. It is a person who is gay, a person who has a disability, a person who uses a wheelchair, a person who is blind, a person with epilepsy, a person with blue eyes, a person with two legs...etc.

It is just one of those things that ruffle my feathers. Most of my friends are people who are gay or lesbian, black or "brown," tall or short...

no but Id support putting you in therapy for your extremely closed mind, being gay IS NOT an illness & its not a choice either its justhow they are, they are born that way, either you are attracted to the opposite sex or your attracted to the same sex, or in some cases both, but its not a condition or illness or for that matter something they can decide, they are how they are......different doesnt mean wrong

ER,NO! The real question here is, why you think that 'gay' people need therapy. How does homosexuality effect your life, let me guess, it doesn't. Also to you guys out there who don't agree with gay marriage, if you really have that big of a problem with the issue then here's my answer......... don't marry one!!!

It's just as illegal to be a loner; what therapy--you either conform successfully, become the norm, or be different and miserable. Therapy would have to be a matter of choice and income; none of it is free.

you only put people in therapy when they have a problem they want to solve.
Otherwise, I would definitely support putting homophobic people in therapy to help their stupidity.

If a gay person was unhappy with his or her lifestyle maybe a therapist could help. It would be that persons choice however.

I am against "putting" anyone anywhere.

Its not an illness...its a choice. No one chooses to be schizo, or to have a tumor, etc for other illnesses...
