And it started bleeding a bit but then it stopped pretty fast, it was pretty minor but still. I dont know if im just really paranoid about dry socket but I didnt mess up the healing process did I? I dont feel any pain or anything but im still kinda curious.

Nothing to worry about. If it had bled a lot and wouldn't stop it would need treatment, but mouth injuries tend to heal pretty fast anyway and generally don't get infected. If it starts hurting later, then worry.

How fresh is the wound ? If it's the first day , and you get an extreme amount of pain ,you may have to call the dentist .. If it bleeds too much , wet a tea bag and place it on the wound until the bleeding stops . That is a good way to stop bleeding anywhere on the body-or inside the mouth . Rinse the wound gently with salt water . Don't spit ; but let the water roll out . I think suction ( like using a straw , or spitting ) will cause more damage to slow the healing , than one poke might .

OWIE.!!..I would think if the bleeding stopped, it would be ok. A gentle rinsing with a mild, luke warm salt water solution should help heal the area. The dentist has probably already suggested that...just don't spit or do anything to stir up the wound. Just be really careful brushing the rest of your teeth so that doesn't happen again! If you are really concerned, give the dental office a call in the morning...they can advise you or maybe fit you in for a quick look...Best wishes.

I found that rinsing with water works just fine. I kind of sucked in the water to make a vacuum (don't fill your mouth as much as you can). Then I swished it around and inflated my cheeks and "pulled" the water back through my teeth (bring my lips forward) to almost pull the stuff out of the holes. You'll feel the pull. There's not much you can do to prevent it from getting in there, but I did find that using the water worked just fine. Mouthwash agitates the wounds, and toothpicks can make more damage.

No. You have not disturbed the healing process. The best thing to do is not smoke or chew tobacco, eat softened foods, and rinse the area with a aniseptic rinse (Cepacol or Listerine...which u can mix with a small amount of water if needed). Also, try to only brush the gums, lightly in the areas where you just had surgery. Good luck!

I just got my wisdom teeth out this summer and I was just as paranoid as you. No need to worry, it would take a little more than knocking it with your toothebrush to disturb anything. As long as ur not gushing blood like a water fountain you're fine:) Happy Healing!
