I am a breastfeeding mom and my 6 and a half month old only has breast milk. I express milk for her while I am at work. Rule of thumb is that you give your baby the best possible foundation if you breast feed for at least 6 months. But really it should be what works for you. I know of a lot of mothers who cannot do what I do and supplement breast feeding with formula which is also great. I applaud you on the choice of breast feeding your baby! Good Luck

I'm a working mom with a 5 month old. We breastfeed at home, I pump at work, and she gets both expressed milk and formula at the sitter. Unfortunately, my supply went down when I started working (due to working conditions and time availability for pumping). But you should do whatever you are comfortable with.

human milk is so far superior to formula that it's not worth it to even compare. Keep breastfeeding; get support and encouragement with a group like LaLecheLeague. Don't give up...remember, it's a learned art.

Either way your preference. Breast milk is always best for the baby you can store it in the fridge for a few days but you can freeze it up to six months. Don't do both at the same time only on occasions if have to. Stick with one or the other.

Experts recommend breastfeeding for at least the first year. Do as much as you can and that's the best you can do. The longer the better though.

minimum is don't start to breast feed. The longest is about 6 weeks I think then you should cut off. I couldn't breast feed so I don't really know but i think you should cutt off after 6 weeks, or don't start to breast feed. just start off on formula right away. I think it is much easier also.
