That is a personal decision and depends on where you are at in your walk of faith. What is harmless for one person could be very bad for another.

I think everyone is missing the big picture. If you can gamble and keep it at a non-addicted level. Then by all means do it, you will only be helping benefit your state's schools. All lottery proceeds help the schools of their respective state.
So if not for you, do it for the kids lol

well if u are asking in regards to religion, then i would say yes it's fine, as long as you are not so addicted to it that u love it more than God....which I truly hope wouldn't happen anyways. I mean I was taught that that is why alchoholism and gambling problems are sins. NOT just becuase you do it, i mean in moderation it's fine. It only becomes a sin when you love your addiction more than you love your God.

The christian perspective is no. To play the lottery is based out of greed and it shows a lack of faith in God. God is faithful to provide all our needs. We don't need to win a lottery for that.
