A daddy long legs lives for 3 days..they have no purpose of life, they don't have a sting to protect themselves or collect nectar from flowers and they love to fly into naked flames or stick themselves on a lit light bulb..really they should be called 'stupid long legs'

These irritating flies are the adult form of the Leather Jacket grub which lives below the soil surface.
They only live for about two days once hatched.

I think they live for only 24 hours, but, as far as they are dying more are emerging to take their place for the 24 hour lifespan!

They live for only 24 hours (unless someone kills them first).
They lay eggs in the soil, which hatch at a later date.

Sorry, don't know his lifespan. But did you know that he is not actually a spider? Rather, he is a member of the tick family. His bite is one of the most deadly of those thought to be spiders, but his mouth is too small to deliver it.
