Flies, ticks, mosquitoes, and parasites may have evolved from something more basic, but even today, they have a purpose in life and int eh balance of God's creation. As for predators, yes they ate meet, and died, so Adam and Eve, as well as their children, knew what it was like to die and to take a life. Humans didn't eat meat until after the Great Flood. The Hyenas is a form of, or descendant, of a species related to the Meercat. Boars are simply wild pigs, which also have a purpose in the balance.

Actually the Bible says that man and all the animals were vegetarians. After the fall of Adam and Eve the bond between animals and people was broken and the fear of man was put on animals who usually try to avoid man in the wild. After the flood, God told Moses that man could eat most meat probably because the flood destroyed most of the vegetation that was around till some of it could grow back. All insects and critters were also created in the first wk of creation they all have a role in nature.

Paradise is a Kings Garden (Think Taj Mahal) Every thing in the garden was in harmony. Some creatures made garbage while other cleaned it up. Could you imagine if there were no fly larva to eat the excrement's in the garden .It would have be a sewer.

Satan cannot create at all, he was created by God to destroy - he is only a tool in the Hands of God

Everything was created in a perfect condition of peace & harmony & purity

No parasites - No cruelty - No bloodshed - No death

Then God - In His desire to display His powerful attributes, He allowed Satan to interfere for His original estate...

The Beast made an offer to the woman in the all perfect Garden of Eden. The woman (free moral agency) chose the tree of good and evil, instead of the Tree of Life, which was the Eternal Perfection that they were living in...they didn`t need to have knowledge - they were in a perfect condition lead by God Himself. (He was their "knowledge")

This unfortunate choice to have human knowledge (Satan`s offer), made God to put a curse on everything. God(who was in fact rejected for satans offer of knowledge) only fulfilled His promise of JUDGEMENT, should they eat of that forbidden tree of knowledge ...
Yes, They only started to bear the fruits of their own evil doing ....

Remember it was (and still is) a tree of THE knowledge of good AND evil ... Knowledge is the ability to make choices...

Two children were born ...one from the adulterous act -
Cain, the son of the father of all destruction and evil ...
and Abel, the son of Adam - the linage of God, the Father of all perfection and peace ...

Destruction started to take effect - Men were put outside the perfect Garden - into a condition of Good and Evil...their own choice of knowledge ...

Some trees started to bear thorns instead of their original flowers...
Some of the animals (all were vegetarian)became flesh-eaters...
Some insects started to become enemies to men and animal ...
Deserts started to form...
A fear developed amongst animals and the people... everything was disturbed ...

Yes,
God became the enemy of men
Men became the enemy of God and Nature
Nature became the enemy of men and so on ...

The curse is still upon mankind and nature,
Men continues to die - morally, spiritually & physically
Nature is decaying - extinction, diseases, decaying food, etc
the earth is crumbling - volcanoes, tsunamis, heat waves etc.
...until it will finally just explode ...
just to be renewed again as part of God`s Redemption plan - proving His Almighty Power of restoration and grace to mankind.

God`s Love & Mercy towards His children had been put into effect (from the very first alter of Cain & Abel ) - by the Law and then by His own Blood offering - and He continued to redeem men (via the linage of Adam) from their fallen state.

...you need to have darkness to appreciate light ...

I agree with Babalu. Pre flood-all vegetarian. Post flood-meat OK.
Of course this answer makes no sense to most because they don't believe that there was a world wide flood.

lol. I'm pretty sure they had some sort of vegetarian arrangement before they were parasites and carnivores. Else Eden would've been just another jungle.

The Garden of Eden is a myth out of a flawed, man-made book.

...and other types of noise makers...but that ain't Heaven.

Ever heard of 'that was then but this is now'?

I 'think' and expect Heaven to be free of pest and other annoyances.

Ever heard of 'to each their own'?

Ever read 'As you like it'?

Suggestion, never believe everything you see, hear and read.

Satan did not create any of the above, but encourages all to consider the context, text and times.

What is a disclaimer?

I think that is probably the idea.
Did the Garden of Eden actually exist anyway?
