Around September 6th we noticed her nipples were swollen, the next week they got bigger. Other than that we have not noticed other weird behaviors besides she seems to want in the house now, she never attemtped to come in before. We were watching for her to go into heat but our breeder said she shouldn't have a heat yet. She is 1 year this month. Anyone have any advice? I think I will take her to the vet to be sure.

It sounds like some dog bred her. Most large breeds have their first heats from 12-15 months. I have had a girl come in heat at 8 months here. Take her into the vet to be sure.
