Usually it is unlearning that is the most difficult. The reason is you already have a preconceived notion of what you learned. To unlearn it means you must lose this notion.

To unlearn. Once you have learned something there is really no reversal process to take it out of your head. You have to have learned it first, then try to forget it.
Whereas with learning you're only doing one step. Learning. So unlearning would be more difficult.
Did you learn anything today?

Unlearning and learning have both got degrees of difficulty, depending on specifics of each case, and also the personal abilities of the person(s) involved, in the concerned process of learning or unlearning, whatever.

To unlearn without a doubt.
I have no problem understanding new concepts.
But when I have to engage in thinking that goes against my traditional grain its almost impossible. Example: As an English speaker its very difficult for me to learn any foreign language because it requires me to go against or "unlearn" what I know from speaking English.

Unlearning is more difficult, especially if it a physical act. Muscle memory is closely linked to the lower part of the brain tha t kicks in without going through higher brain functions. I.E. cat jumps on hst stove, burns feet jumps off. Never burns feet, but never jumps on cold stove either.
Other mannerism are easier to deal with, once you become aware of them. that can actually be a two fold project, if the negative and posative are related, when the negative comes into your mind immediately think of the posative. This process normally takes about 30-90 days depending on how deeply set the negative value is set.

to learn, relearn and unlearn.
unlearn is difficult. but it's all up in your mind. sometimes we may have a wrong answer to a question for years till a small kid tell and prove you wrong. to unlearn is to accept that "hey, i was wrong till now." remember the right answer and move on.
