exist. I might be wrong in that I thought that Atheists did not believe that the Supernatural could exist.

I think JT makes a good point. I would consider myself more of a materialist Atheist.

think abt this. in the past ..normal things such as rain.. sunshine..fire etc were attributed to "god" cause ppl couldnt explain any better. right now things that cannot be explained using science is called supernatural.

in the future as science develops.. these things will be easily explained.

I'm agnostic...however I asked a similar question not too long ago. Here is the conclusion that I've come to: I believe in the "paranormal" and NOT the "supernatural". Those words are used interchangebly, however they are NOT the same. I believe in many things that are outside of the "norm" and that they have yet to be fully studied and/or explained. Parapsychology is where psychology was 50 yrs ago...so who knows? I also think that many of the "psychic gifts" ppl have may be just the next human evolution. However, alot of it is scam. As always, time will tell.

The so called supernatural is merely the knowledge that we have yet to aquire.
It is an expression of ignorance to try to understand things that are beyond our capacity at the moment.
There was a time when eclipses were thought to be an example of the supernatural, the sun was being swallowed by a devil and people had to be sacrificed to get the sun back.
I think we know better now.

I don't believe in the supernatural but I'm sure there are atheists that do. Do I agree supernatural things could exist? Maybe, that depends on how exactly you define "supernatural" though.

I do not believe in the supernatural world, either in relation to gods or magic or any other supernatural behaviors and phenomenon. So much has been debunked and so far, not one person who claims to be psychic or have supernatural powers has been able to prove it.

Until someone actually proves it (and receives the money that James Randi and others are offering), I will remain skeptical.

I believe in God but I do NOT believe in the supernatural. I believe that our species is an extremely young and naïve one. One that has not had our intelligence nor been trying to systematically categorize facts (Science) long enough to know what natural even really is yet. How can we say that there is such a thing supernatural when we can not even satisfactorily define natural? I believe everything has a rational explanation even if we do not know what it is yet.

I am an atheist, and do not believe in anything supernatural in the sense of 'things that cannot have any scientific explanation'. There may be things, of course, we have no explanation for today, but a scientific explanation exists even if we do not know it.

No thats the whole point of atheism. To believe in the supernatural, we would have to accept the fact that there is life after death, something that can only exist if religion does.

i feel that most supernatural things can be explained by the means of science, reason and knowledge in todays world. all religions were born into a pre scientific world with no advanced knowledge whatso ever, and they had to use magic and supernaturalism to explain the meaning of life and our universe
we live in a very different world today

Someone who doesnot believe in God but believes in the supernatural is called agnostic. So logically, a spiritual atheist is an agnostic.
