Hey I'm 26 years old and have had a fair amount of urinary problems over the years.. prostatitis that I know of. Anyways one day I woke up with bad kidney pain and blood in my urine and they did an ultrasound and found what they believe to be kidney stones..uric acid ones they think. That pain has gotten better, but now I'm having pretty bad colicky pain in my bladder that comes and goes and I'm urinating like every 20 minutes with microscopic blood in my urine as well. I'm really worried this might be bladder cancer. The pain used to come on every few days, but now it's here every day..any ideas on what it is? im really worried.. thanks

It is very difficult to to assess the position from the symontoms told by you. The general signs and symptoms of bladder cancer are -

Bladder cancer may cause blood in the urine, pain during urination, frequent urination, or feeling the need to urinate without results. These signs and symptoms are not specific to bladder cancer, and are also caused by noncancerous conditions, including prostate infections and cystitis.

It may also by because of stones or some other reason also. Only a through evaluation by an Oncologist, preferably Surgical, with necessary tests can tell you the actual position. You should not delay the matter and see an oncologist immediately.

Sounds like your kidney stones are breaking up and passing on down the line. Passing that is like passing little tiny bits of glass. Go see the doctor for a full evaluation, and quit relying on folks here to diagnose you. And quit listening to the hoof beats thinking zebras when it's more likely horses. Besides that- bladder cancer doesn't have a sound to hear- it's diagnosed by a pathologist looking at a sample of bladder tissue. Drink more water to help flush it on out, and hope you don't pass a full size stone- as for fellows that is the biological equivalent of having a baby, and the cure is not pleasant either. But go see the doctor in the meantime, ER if you have to. They are in a much better position to diagnose and treat you than we are.
